Originally the Fischer Meat Packing Company, the Mellwood Art Center turned a factory from 1904 into a small business incubator for local entrepreneurs. Among the small businesses calling Mellwood home are Mellwood Antiques & Interiors, Danny Mac’s Pizza, and Dead Sled Leather Co.

Mellwood is home to a unique array of visual and performing artists. With over 170 studio spaces, Mellwood has spaces of all shapes and sizes perfect for your creative endeavor. Our Pigment Gallery regularly hosts shows and exhibits by local artists of all kinds. Visitors will also find murals, sculptures, and paintings peppered throughout our sprawling complex.
